Mark Twain was correct with this statement – people should smile every chance they get. “Smile lines,” as they are sometimes referred to, should be something worn proudly. Sadly, many people feel as though they do not have the option to smile all the time.
People that dislike their smile try to hide it at every possible chance. They smile with their mouth closed, do not feel comfortable laughing, and cover their mouth when they talk. As a person who jokes and laughs constantly, I could not image feeling uncomfortable with my smile.
I have porcelain veneers on my four upper-front teeth. While it was a bit of a process to get veneers, it was extremely worth it. I had a root canal procedure on my front right tooth, which resulted in the tooth turning black after the endodontic treatment. My tooth next to it was chipped, so my dentist decided the best thing to do was place veneers on all four of the front teeth.
The porcelain veneers match my other teeth perfectly. No one ever notices that they are veneers, I am just told that I have very nice teeth.
If you are not happy with your smile, take the steps to change it. It will give you a whole new level of confidence – and the smile that you have always dreamed of showing off.
