Crowns for Cracked Teeth

A cracked tooth is no joke.  If not treated right away, a person runs the risk of losing their tooth altogether.  However, many cracked teeth can be fixed with a crown. The cracked tooth is prepped and shaved down to a smaller size.  Then a crown, acting like a “cap,” is placed over the tooth.  It strengthens the tooth and helps prevent further cracking.

Cosmetic dentists can provide crowns that are identical in color and size to a person’s other teeth, making them virtually indistinguishable.
