Gertrude had never given Rico the time of day. Rico was in the school band and was known for his unattractive smile complete with yellow, crooked, and missing teeth. His smile was so bad that his nickname became “The Teeth.” On the other hand, Gertrude or “Gert “ as she was known, was captain of the school dance team, Student Body President, and known for her bright and friendly smile.  After several unsuccessful attempts to ask Gert to school dances, Rico had all but given up.

Fortunately for Rico, he heard about cosmetic dentistry from a friend. He went home and researched reconstructive dentistry and found a local dentist who specialized in aesthetic dentistry. Over the span of a few office visits Rico was able to complete dental bridge work to replace his missing teeth, cosmetic veneers for his rotten teeth, and teeth whitening for his entire mouth.

 Filled with confidence and a brand new smile makeover Rico returned to school. The reaction was amazing as “The Teeth” became the talk of the school and was suddenly a “hot commodity” with the ladies. Rico was thrilled when Gert came up and asked him to their senior prom. He was even more thrilled to tell her no as he explained he was already going with Ashley, a friend from band with a less than perfect smile. After helping Ashley find a dentist who could give her tooth colored veneers, she and Rico had the best smiles at prom and became known as “the couple with great smiles.”
