Dental Face Lift

What is a dental face lift?  This term is used to describe the profound effects of cosmetic dentistry.  A dental face lift happens when a patient goes to a cosmetic dentist to have their mouth restored to a healthy, beautiful, white smile and the results impact the entire face.

Cosmetic dentistry is no longer about making the front, top, six teeth white and straight.  It is about building a fully functioning healthy smile that shows when you laugh out loud.  You see no empty spaces, no silver fillings and nothing but strong, white teeth.

The back teeth are the foundation of not only the functional biting system but also facial structure.  When you lose back teeth, the cheeks collapse inward giving the face an aged and sunken look.  The muscle function and support are also affected.

There are other factors that can cause the facial muscles and tissue to wrinkle and sag.  For example, severe grinding that erodes the front teeth causing the upper and lower jaws to come together more closely than is healthy for the jaw joints.  This narrowing makes the lips push outward and sag down.  By restoring the front teeth that have been ground, you see not only a white smile, but also firmer, healthier lips and cheeks.

A dental face lift can restore your smile from the inside out and have lasting affects that signal a youthful and healthy spirit.
